Dedication to Sustainability

Sustainability is embedded firmly at the core of 3M’s business and is a critical part of our commitment to always acting with integrity. As part of this ongoing commitment, 3M has provided a $850 million grant to the State of Minnesota for a special “3M Grant for Water Quality and Sustainability Fund.”

This fund will enable projects that support water sustainability in Minnesota’s Twin Cities East Metro region, such as continued delivery of water to residents and enhancing groundwater recharge to support sustainable growth. These projects will also result in habitat and recreation improvements, such as fishing piers, trails and open space preservation.

This investment reflects 3M’s long history of environmental stewardship and is in addition to other meaningful investments totaling more than $184 million on remediation and other projects to reduce the presence of PFOA and PFOS in the environment worldwide.
